Welcome to video village, the place where all members of the film crew gather at the end of a day's hard work to view the dailies. While this might look like the odds and ends of the world, it is a highly sophisticated place on set where all the most important data and information is stored and cataloged.
We are coming quickly upon the end of our class and Starry Night and we still have a long way to go. Over the next several weeks we need to create a rough cut, final cut, and then do a sound mix. While the rough cut and final cut might come quickly, sound is going to become a crucial element of our work and needs time spent to make it dense and exact.
For your next assignment, I would like you to have your complete dailies to me, along with your final storyboard, by April 27th. This will give us 3 weeks to edit and do a sound mix. If you are a bit more ambitious, this schedule will also allow you to submit a rough or final cut to Starry Night.
